In other words, You can change you network and still retain your previous network's number.

Most of these networks in Nigeria offer this porting service which means you can easily port to any network you like no matter which network you are on be it Etisalat, Airtel, MTN or even GLO.

Today in this post, i have decided to share with you how you can easily Port to Glo from other networks such as MTN, Airtel And Etisalat.

You should know that porting to GLO Nigeria is FREE, And the code to port to Glo is 3232.

Steps on How to Port to Glo
1. Go to any Glo Mobile Office, Glo Zone or any Glo Sim Registration Center.
2. You will be required to have a copy of your ID Card with the mobile number/SIM you want to transfer to the Glo network.
3. Once you get there, tell the Glo representative what you want, which is to port to Glo.
4. The Glo representative will offer you a form titled Port-In MNP request form. Fill the Port-In MNP request form, Sign and send Port as an SMS from your number to the Short Code 3232.
5. You should get an SMS instantly, saying Thank you for your SMS. Your request is being processed.
6. The you Glo representative will offer you a new Glo SIM free of charge which you need to make sure you register to avoid further issues or stress.
7. After your request has been processed, you will then receive another SMS stating that your request was successful, at that moment, your OLD NUMBER/SIM will seize to work, you can start using the NEW SIM offered to you.

That's all.

GLO TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PORTING
*It takes a minimum of 48 hours for the whole process to be permanent.
*You will not be able to port to any other network until after ninety (90) days.

On the 14th of May 2013, it was announced during BlackBerry Live 2013 that Blackberry Messenger (BBM) will go cross platforms this summer. What this actually entails is that, Blackberry, iOS and Android devices will be able to chat via the BBM service very soon.

According to the press release statement, the rollout will first include just chat, but soon to follow will be BBM Voice, BBM Video and even BBM Channels. Microsoft Word is one of the best word processing programs and it is available on most computers. It has so many features embedded in it to make writing easier.

If you are a blogger and uses Microsoft word to compose your blog post, you will notice that after pasting the text on your blog content management system, some kind of errors notification will appear.

This happens because Microsoft Word HTML code is cluttered with redundant and unnecessary information in the HTML tags.

Those who have experienced this before will know how Microsoft Word HTML code looks like. Microsoft Word possess a lot of functionality, many people prefer it to other Content Management System (CMS) editor.

Since majority of them has limited functionality. I use Microsoft Word to write my blog post every time, but when I initially started blogging, it was very much difficult for me but when I later
discovered how I could easily remove Microsoft Word redundant HTML tags from the HTML codes, everything became easier and I was able to keep the formats I've made on Microsoft Word.

There are many programs on the internet that allows users to easily convert .doc and .docx file to HTML but most of them request money for activation. The methods I use are free. The two methods are:
*Using Gmail:
Using Gmail to Reduce and Clean Microsoft Words Redundant HTML Tags The best way to reduce and clean the unnecessary HTML tags in Microsoft Word is to send it to a Gmail account as an attachment.
Follow the steps outlined below:
1. Go to your favorite email program, compose an email, attach the Word document (in .doc or .docx format) to the email and then send the email to your Gmail account.
2. Open the Gmail item with the attachment; click the link that says View as HTML. The document will immediately open in a new tab of your browser.
3. Go to the new tab where the attachment opened as HTML, now click Ctrl+U on your keyboard to view the page source.
4. Copy the whole code and paste it into a HTML editor or Notepad. Don't paste it back on Microsoft Word.
5. At the top of the code, delete the code Google adds i.e. the Download the original attachment.
6. Make the changes you wish to make on the code and then use it wherever you want to use it.

*Using Textism Word HTML Cleaner: It is another awesome and free program to clean unnecessary HTML tags in Microsoft documents. To use Textism, save a Word document as Web Page to your hard drive (this will not work with ordinary Word files, e.g. filename.doc). Choose the
HTML file to upload, and then process.

I prefer Textism, but both methods work perfectly and good for writers who are used to writing in Word and regularly find it awkward to get their text ready to publish online.

Costa Rican arrested in Spain for alleged financial crimes

Costa Rican authorities raided suspect's home and offices in San José and Heredia.

Arthur Budovsky Belanchuk, 39, on Friday was arrested in Spain as part of a money laundering investigation performed jointly by police agencies in the United States and Costa Rica.

Costa Rican prosecutor José Pablo González said Budovsky, a Costa Rican citizen of Ukrainian origin, has been under investigation since 2011 for money laundering using a company he created in the country called Liberty Reserve.

Local investigations began after a request from a prosecutor's office in New York. On Friday, San José prosecutors conducted raids in Budovsky's house and offices in Escazá, Santa Ana, southwest of San José, and in the province of Heredia, north of the capital.

Budovsky's businesses in Costa Rica apparently were financed by using money from child Indecency websites and drug trafficking.
New York conviction According to records from the U.S. Justice Department, on July 27, 2006, Budovsky and a partner identified as Vladimir Kats were indicted by the state of New York on charges of operating an illegal financial business, GoldAge Inc., from their Brooklyn apartments.

They had transmitted at least $30 million to digital currency accounts worldwide since beginning operations in 2002.
The digital currency exchange, GoldAge, received and transmitted $4million between Jan. 1, 2006, and June 30, 2006, as part of the money laundering scheme.

Customers opened online GoldAge accounts with limited documentation of identity, then GoldAge purchased digital gold currency through those accounts; the defendants' fees sometimes exceeded $100,000.
Customers could choose their method of payment to GoldAge: wire remittances, cash deposits, postal money orders or checks.

Finally, the customers could withdraw the money by requesting wire transfers to accounts anywhere in the world or by having checks sent to any identified individual.

Budovsky and Kats were sentenced to five years in prison for engaging in the business of transmitting money without a license, a felony violation of state banking law, but got probation.

6. If it says cannot delete then turn off your bluetooth or just put your phone to offline mode and then try deleting it
7. If its not still able to delete then rename the folder containing the files and delete the entire folder.
8. For viruses that restart your phone just formatting is the only option cause if you delete virus files after reboot they will re-appear if all files are not deleted.

Today, BlackBerry also announced BBM Channels, a new social engagement platform within BBM that will allow customers to connect with the businesses, brands, celebrities and groups they are passionate about. BlackBerry plans to add support for BBM Channels as well as voice and video chatting for iOS and Android later this year, subject to approval by the Apple App Store and Google Play. If approved by Apple and Google, the BBM app will be available as a free download in the Apple® App StoreSM and Google Play store.

Additional details about system requirements and availability will be announced closer to the launch.

Normally if we need information in text format from images, we have to type it all.

But instead of doing all the typing you can use the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Software to extract all the text from an image.

OCR recognize The Handwritten or Printed or Typewritten Text and Converts them into Editable Word or Text format. Although the Output may not be 100% accurate and you need to do some editing work.

But its always better to do some editing instead or Typing Whole Document.

To extract Text from images you can use some Online OCR softwares but will show you an easy way, You just Require MS Office in you Computer, we will use Microsoft Office OneNote to extract text from
images.

How to Extract Text from Images Using MS Office
1. START > All Programs > MS Office > Microsoft Office OneNote.
2. Copy and Paste the image into Ms Office OneNote from which you want to extract text.
3. Right Click on the image And select "Copy text From picture".
4. That's it, open Notepad or Word and paste the Extracted Text.
5. You can edit the Spelling mistakes if any.
