Computer and IT giants Hewlett Packard will not be left
behind in the emerging world of Smartphone Makers, a source says
HP, highly known for its outstanding and strong set of
laptops and notebooks will join in the Smartphone game. However, few years ago,
HP acquired Palm in 2010, in a bid to carve out a niche for itself in the
mobile world.
Unfortunately, things didn't really work out as planned and
so HP just had to move on to more enterprising ventures.
When a HP rep in India, Yin was asked how HP will be able to
compete in the market with power heads such as Android and iOS banging in the
mobile tech market, Yin's reply was
"Being late you have to create a different set of proposition[s].
There are still things that can be done. It’s not late. When HP has a smartphone,
it will give a differentiated experience."
Before now, speculations had arisen last September when CEO
Meg Whitman told the Fox Business Network that HP is "working on"
bringing a new smartphone to the market.
We just have to wait and watch if HP Joining League of
Smartphone Makers will make the other Smartphone Makers shake!
