Globacom, Nigeria's second largest mobile operator yesterday reduced its BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) pricing. Under the new price regime, the Absolute Monthly plan which offers 3GB of data now costs N1,000 down from the previous price of N2,800, while the weekly plan now goes for N500 with 700MB. The Complete plan pricing have also been adjusted with the monthly plan going for N899 and the weekly plan for N400 with 3GB and 700MB data caps respectively.
The pricing review while months ago those made by Etisalat, Airtel and MTN undercut the current offerings by other networks. The new pricing which was announced by a statement from Globacom's Marketing coordinator, Adeniyi Olukoya confirms that the new pricing take effect immediately however, the changes are yet to reflect on their site as at the time of writing this.
