Robert Lewandowski Signs 5-year Contract With Bayern Munich

The end of the saga is here.

Robert Lewandowski has agreed to a 5-year contract with Bayern Munich that will keep the Polish international donning red through the 2018/2019 season. The 25-year-old Polish international who scored 16 goals in all competitions this season, co-leading the Bundesliga with 11, is reportedly set to make €11M a season on this new deal, a massive raise over the €5M he earned this season at Borussia Dortmund. He will join the Rekordmeisters this summer on a Bosman transfer.

No matter your opinion on the idea of Bayern Muncih leeching talent from within the Bundesliga, getting arguably one of the best strikers in Europe on a free transfer is a massive coup for what is already the best team in Europe. It’s a move that will keep the Bavarian-based side as Germany’s best and one of Europe’s best for a long time.

The Lewandowski transfer comes with questions raised for Mario Mandzukic’s long term place at Bayern Munich. A question that has already seen the international’s agent respond that Mandzukic’s place is at Bayern Munich and that he expects to challenge Lewandowski. Even so, the rumors are going to continue swirling.

Now all that’s needed is a number so the kit buying can commence in earnest.
With Lewandowski in Bayern, Which Team do you think can Stop Bayern Munich?
