We have a Mission to South Africa - Keshi

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has revealed that he is on a mission to South Africa as he set sights on the CAF African Nations Championship trophy which kicks off on January 11.

Speaking to Complete Sports before the team went for their friendly game in Gokana, the former Mali and Togo national teams handler said despite the fact that Nigeria is featuring in the tournament for the first time, the players will not disappoint.

“It is not easy to spend some precious time in camp, we have a mission and we are going to do our best to make sure we follow it to the last and the only way we can do that is to prepare well for the tournament which we are already doing”, says Keshi who says he wants to win the CHAN on his debut.

“Things are getting better now and we are gradually seeing players that will make the trip to South Africa but the friendly matches we have will still go a long way in helping us.

The Home Eagles will play host nation South Africa, Mali and Mozambique during the preliminary round of the tournament billed to kick off in January.

Meanwhile, the Home Eagles are expected to play Kano Pillars in their last build up game.
