Oscar Winner, Lupita Nyong'o Gives Shout Out to Nigerian Artiste

Oscar winner, Lupita Nyong’o has been riding very high ever since she won the award for her role in “12 years a slave”.

This is why it is especially exciting to see her give kudos to a Nigerian performer named Kevin Olusola.

25-year-old Kevin “K.O.” Olusola is a cellist, beatboxer, saxophonist, songwriter, producer, and singer. He is a member of the band Pentatonix. They performed a modified version of a Christmas carol, “Little Drummer Boy”, which went viral over the holidays last year.

Olusola was born to a Nigerian father and a Grenadian mother.

PHOTO: Lupita Nyong’o Is Dating Somail And ‘Waving Flag’ Crooner, K’Naan

According to US Weekly, 31-Year-old Kenya-raised Oscar winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o has been dating Somali-born rapper K’Naan since September. The New York-based couple have however bonded over their similar interests.

“She loves his humanitarianism,” says a pal of the “Wavin’ Flag” singer, 36. “They both have passion for African issues.”

K’Naan has two sons with pharmacy tech ex-wife Deqa Warsame. And the rapper’s pal notes that Nyong’o and K’Naan are taking things slow.

“She hasn’t met his kids,” the friend reveals.

Just about a week after her Oscar win for her role in ’12 Years a Slave’, Nyong’o is the hottest material in Hollywood today.
