Photos: Beyoncé & Jay Z kiss on Stage at The Grammys

Mrs. Carter, Beyonce, displayed her dramatically slimmed down figure as she took to the stage with Jay Z at the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles to perform a very raunchy rendition of her hit song, Drunk In Love in an almost perfect performance.

Beyonce wore a glittering bra underneath that had slightly slipped down to reveal what appeared to be a pair of glittery pasties which almost showed off her nip at one point.

Jay Z scooped the prize for Best Rap/Song Collaboration along for Holy Grail, featuring Justin Timberlake.

They kissed during their performance as Jay Z grabs her butt.

Power Couple I must say!

Tweets: Femi Kuti’s Reaction to his Grammy 2014 Awards Loss

Femi Anikulapo Kuti- Nigerian Afrobeat king who was nominated for the prestigious Grammy awards for the fourth time in his career, in the World Music Album category, for his 2013 album, “No Place For My Dream” has lost the award to this year’s winners. The award which is a tie was given to Gipsy Kings and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. To see full list of 2014 winners, Click Here!

Femi has however gone on Twitter to congratulate the winners, he tweeted this, “congrats to the winners. The nomination made my year means they know and listen to Afrobeat.”

Even though Femi lost the award, his fans all over has been sending congratulatory messages and showing their support on Twitter.

This is the fourth time Femi has been nominated for a Grammy in the World Music Album category, he had previously been nominated thrice earlier–2003, 2010, 2012, in the same category but has never won the award. No Nigerian has also ever won the prestigious award.

Among several artistes that have carried on the Afrobeat struggle after its creator Fela Kuti passed on, no one has done more to Afrobeat than Femi Kuti. Against incredible odds, Femi has consistently been increasing the fortunes of the genre and breaking previously unimaginable grounds all around the world.

Since conquering the challenges of the early days and consequently shutting up naysayers and armchair critics alike with his unparalleled success, Femi has probably done more for Afrobeat than anyone can ever imagine.

Snatching of Ballot Box Won't be Possible in 2015 Election - Jega

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, said on Thursday in Kaduna that politicians should forget about planning to snatch ballot boxes in the 2015 general elections.

He added that the political parties de-registered by the commission, would not longer be registered.

Besides, the INEC boss said the commission alone could not conduct the 2015 general elections, stressing the need for collaboration with politicians and other relevant stakeholders for free and credible polls.

Jega, who spoke at the closing ceremony of a four-day retreat for INEC’s commissioners, said the new digitalised system would render such act invalid, noting that any politician with such wishful dreams should perish it.

He said henceforth, every polling booth would have a specialised digital number and all voting cards for that particular station would carry the digital number.

This, he noted would make ballot box snatching difficult for politicians.
